Pantry twists and new variations

One of the things I love most is discovering unique foods that much of the world has never heard of. Or like her to get inspired and find new variations and twists of classic food products. Dean & Deluca are masters of having new gourmet pics on their shelfs. Boat Street Pickled Figs are made from Black Mission figs bathed in a sweet syrup of red wine, cane sugar, balsamic vinegar, rosemary and sea salt. Bring them on!

Make it Spooky & Sweet – Halloween 2

And this Halloween weekend we will splash around the kitchen making colorful treats but I hope the kids are into some white spooky crisp cookies too. Halloween does not always have to be orange and black. The above cakes are in soft tones plus I added a bunny … you can add a witchy hat – or save it and make it for Easter ;o) Find all kind of yummi inspiration for cakes and cake decor at Make Me Cake Me and at Coco Cake Land. Enjoy L’Eto in Chelsea

I don’t have a favorite spot in London, I have many! King’s Road in Chelsea still have small boutiques and cosy tea+coffee-places, very good bars and restaurants and some very nice shops but we needed some steamy Flat Whites (goodbye Macchiatos, it is all about Flat Whites now!) plus some sweeeeet on the side and chose above L’Eto Caffe on King’s Road (L’Eto actually have several caffes in London – find them here – I like they kept an intimate atmosphere) . A small place, with oh so very edible windows (look above!) the room was totally packed, full of joy and talk, tea, latte, sparkling pellegrino, chardonnay, and a lovely salad buffet for those who do not have a sweet tooth. We had some perfect Flat Whites, and Jesper a fruit tart like above with raspberry… yummi! I chose toasted coconut bread with chocolate spread – not bad at all! Take a peek before/after at Habitat on the other side of King’s Road, lovely! More about King’s Road look here.
