Wauuu… early spring is all around and it means the citrus’ are at their best right now. Cannot wait to try the above Citrus cake for dessert from Cannelle et Vanille – and for main course grilled chicken stuffed with lemons and lots of garlic – tomorrow at a very relaxing dinner for our friends – YUMMI!
All I needed was a recipe for a hot autumn soup … and some color inspiration for a new edible design project. And then I came across this girl Eva Kosmas Flores who runs the blog Adventures In Cooking. OMG.
Look at those amazing photos … I kept on and on looking into Eva’s cooking adventures – I wanted to taste, touch, try, do everything I saw… and not just the delicious soup recipe I found! But I did find a fantastic recipe for an autumn soup with Roasted Pecan & Acorn Squash. I think it will become a classic around here.
This soup recipe have acorn squash, honey, pecans, and ground chipotle chili powder included – which I found new and VERY tasteful – hot, creamy, nutty mixed with the fruity squash. Yummi!
We have had the most perfect summer here in Cph the last three weeks. The weather has been (and still is) sunny sunny sunny and we have done nothing but swimming at the beaches and in the harbor and eating a lot of cool ice creams. Today it is VERY humid and hot and we needed an indoor project away from the sun. I found these peachy creamy pops at my favorite blog My New Roots by Sarah Britton – for the fun of making our own delicious ice pops (and for the healthy choice too).
And while our peachy pops freeze I share the yummi recipe with you – mmmmm … can’t wait to taste them (they are almost there and they taste YUMMI soft too!!!). Get all how-tos + the recipe here.
Read the post and get the recipe on the most crunchy crackers on the frontpage at My New Roots too – they are sooooo goood (look here)!
I have been sick this week and have eaten liters of soup. Today I’m out of bed again and I really need a crunshy crisp winter salad and found this spelt salad with fennel at Sarah Britton’s My New Roots. Enjoy the crisp recipe here.
Here we go: frozen home made summer pops – don’t you just want them – NOW! Found the color- and flavorful book with oh so lovely ice pop recipes this morning, a must-have-now book by Shelly Kaldunski and photographer Lauren Burk. Find it here. I’m definitely going to try the chocolate-vanilla swirls (bottom picture).
Time for some crisp green colors, get inspired by vegetarian chef Sara Britton at her great blog My New Roots. Make the tasteful mint pea dip by Sara for new tiny carrots or parsley root “chips”- recipe here.
