Halloweeeeeen

halloween inspiration, cake decoration for halloween, halloween cakes, yummi design, blog about food and design, art director signe funch boyeit is not hard to get influenced by Halloweeeeen in this house. My daugther just wanted to be a black cat – that’s easy. But Albert! Finally last night he made up his mind starting at a Ninja werewolf (??!) to a mummy ending at Count Drucula (lucky me). So I’m off to find a Sir Dracula’s black cape and a awful set of teeth size 6 years!

Adventures in Cooking

All I needed was a recipe for a hot autumn soup … and some color inspiration for a new edible design project. And then I came across this girl Eva Kosmas Flores who runs the blog Adventures In Cooking. OMG.

Look at those amazing photos …  I kept on and on looking into Eva’s cooking adventures – I wanted to taste, touch, try, do everything I saw…  and not just the delicious soup recipe I found! But I did find a fantastic recipe for an autumn soup with Roasted Pecan & Acorn Squash. I think it will become a classic around here.

This soup recipe have acorn squash, honey, pecans, and ground chipotle chili powder included – which I found new and VERY tasteful – hot, creamy, nutty mixed with the fruity squash. Yummi!

Hot golden soup

mynewroots, soup, sarah britton, recipe warm soup, chickpeas, yummi design blog about food and designIt’s chilly today. We just had five days of massive grey, rainy days, no sun, no no sun at all. Today it is crisp, freezing, grey but hey… a bit of Sun is so nice. Enough about the Danish weather, let´s eat some colors! Here’s a delicious, golden soup from foodie and Nutritionist Sarah Britton’s oh so very edible blog “My New Roots“. With Smoky Chickpea Croutons on top – what a great idea – they are soooo yummi and will be a topping or a crisp snack I will make over and over this year! Find out the how to right here.
